A "Blind Date" is a surprise book experience! You choose the type of package—like a single book, a series, a special edition, or an indie gem—and we handpick and send you a wrapped book without revealing the title. It’s a fun way to discover something new!

What are "Bookish Goodies"?

Bookish Goodies are curated bundles of book-inspired treasures, like bookmarks, candles, mugs, tote bags, or other literary-themed items. They're perfect for enhancing your reading experience or as gifts for fellow book lovers.

Can I request specific genres or themes for my Blind Date?

Absolutely! During checkout, you’ll have the option to provide genre preferences or themes you enjoy (e.g., mystery, romance, fantasy). While we don’t guarantee exact matches, we’ll do our best to align with your interests.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Shipping times depend on your location:

Standard Shipping: 5-7 business days.
Expedited Shipping: 2-3 business days.
For international orders, delivery times vary.

Can I return or exchange my Blind Date or Bookish Goodies?

Due to the surprise nature of our Blind Dates, they are non-refundable. However, if your item arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days at penpaperthreads@gmail.com, and we’ll make it right.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we do! International shipping costs and delivery times will be calculated at checkout based on your location.

How do I classify my books?

• I use Goodreads to determine the genre and rating
• I use Romance.IO to find spice level and romance tropes
• If I receive a large order of one specific book I will read it so I can add my own judgement

How can you make sure you don't get a book you already own or have read?

While I cannot guarantee this, there are a few things you can do to help prevent it:
• include your goodreads username in your order notes
• send me a picture of your bookshelves
• include your amazon wishlist url in your notes

How do you get a specific sub genre or trope?

• Put as many details into your order notes as you would like, especially around tropes, taboos, or triggers you do or don't want and I will do my very best to accommodate.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

• I do! You can ask for it in the order notes and I will wrap in tissue paper, tie with twine or ribbon, and add a gift tag with your friends name or any other personalized message. Gift wrapped books also come with a "from the library of sticker"
